Applications are now open for the Broad Summer Research Program 2026. This is a fully funded summer research program offered by the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. The program welcomes citizens of the United States as well as non US citizens who hold valid employment authorization.
This 9 week summer research opportunity allows selected students to participate in high level biomedical research and explore the field of genomics. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A strong interest in pursuing graduate school such as a PhD or MD PhD
- Must be enrolled in a four year US college for Fall 2025
- Graduation date must be December 2026 or later
- Accepted majors include:
- Physical biological or computer sciences
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Must be a US citizen permanent resident or a non US citizen with employment authorization
- No previous research experience is required
- Students with limited exposure to STEM fields are especially encouraged to apply
